HERITAGE
The faith of Jean Royère’s legacy will be determined by a chance meeting in Paris. This is where in 1956 Jean met Micha Djordjevic, who came to study at Sorbonne. Whilst both men were from similar backgrounds, having grown up in very traditional, conservative families, unlike Jean Royère, whose work was larger than life, but was something of a shy and introverted character, Micha Djordjevic was an open, outgoing person, quick-witted, with a wry sense of humor. Rather different, yet complementary, they found in one another those aspects that made them feel complete. They would remain together for the rest of their lives.
